Skin to skin contact also known as "Kangaroo Care" is very important to premature babies. It let's them bond with their mother while listening to her heartbeat and breathing. This helps them coordinate their heartbeat and breathing. It also has numerous other advantages and has been known to help the development of the baby. Some babies do not respond well to this, however, Cason did amazingly well. He has been having some small issues with his gas levels and regulated them significantly during our skin to skin time. I LOVED our skin to skin time but it has made me more emotional that past couple days!
Congratulations on the new man! WOW! Matty's gonna have a friend around his age! If you need help with anything at your house while you are in cali or when you get to bring him home just let me know I'm right down the street. I had my brother add Cason to his church's prayer list. And he's definitely in mine! He's lucky to have you 2 for parents! congrats again and hang in there!
